The Genesys Certified Professional v7 - System Consultant, Inbound Voice (GCP7-CIV) certification is primarily targeted at the Genesys partners worldwide that assist Genesys customers in planning, installation, and configuration related to the inbound routing of voice interactions.
Candidates who already hold the designation as a Certified Genesys Engineer v6 (CGE6) may choose to become recognized for their achievements with Genesys 7.
Recommended Preparatory Track for GCP7-CIV
In order to achieve the GCP7-CIV designation, candidates must pass a rigorous certification exam which tests mastery and understanding of the solutions and skill-sets specified in the tab above. Genesys University highly recommends that candidates seeking certification follow the certification preparatory track shown below. The preparatory track, coupled with hands-on experience will increase the probability of passing the exam.

GCP7-CIV Skill-Set Objectives:
- Identify and define terms used by Genesys to describe the Customer Interaction Management (CIM) Platform components and their functions
- Diagram, describe and use the architecture and functionality of Genesys 7 Framework, Routing, and Reporting Solutions which includes:
- Configuration Server
- Configuration DB Server
- Message Server
- Log DB Server
- Log Server
- Solution Control Server
- Solution Control Interface
- Load Distribution Server modes
- VoIP (overview)
- Plan, install, and configure Genesys 7 Framework, Routing, and Reporting Solutions:
- for a single or multi-site environment
- with or without HA
- with or without the Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP) option
- to configure objects and parameters for a Cost Based Routing Solution in CME
- to maximize service availability
- Read and explain T-Library messaging. This includes but is not limited to:
- Events, Requests, Attach Data and Conn ID, ISCC Events and Requests
- Demonstrate the ability to use Framework, Routing, and Reporting GUI to:
- generate screen pop
- create and test a simple agent or queue routing strategy
- create virtual queues for reporting
- create and test a view in CC Pulse+
- produce a populated CC Analyzer canned report
- Demonstrate an ability to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the components of Framework, Routing, and Reporting Solutions which includes but is not limited to:
- Describe special accounts and access privileges
- navigate and interpret SCI
- create and use alarms
- read log
- analyze call flows
- Use and interface with Genesys resources such as Genesys technical publications and technical support to research implementation questions and analyze problems
To obtain the certification status, candidates are required to successfully complete and pass a proctored computer-based exam that assesses knowledge of Genesys products and implementation practices as outlined above.
